Webtales

Presentation

My first work experience brought me to Paris in the Station F ecosystem. There I joined WebTales, a startup specialized in developing open and innovative publishing systems for the web and mobile, including:

  • - Rubedo, an open-source digital platform developed on a Big Data platform and equipped with advanced personalization and marketing automation features.
  • - AMPize.me, the first released solution for Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) technology. The project was funded by Google's Digital News Initiative

At Webtales I was involved in various web projects as a Full-stack developer. I was working on the technical and conception parts, but also on customer relationship. I worked with the company product "Rubedo" on several clients' websites using PHP and Angular. I also did a lot of front-end using AMP technology, especially for the UCPA website. I ended up designing and implementing a complete API + database used for the treatment of end-of-life vehicles in France.

Personal impression

Although I have chosen to orient myself towards Back-end after this experience, I learned there everything I had to know about HTML, CSS, basic JS and the AMP technology. I was also able to use my previous experience in the Junior company since I was often exchanging directly with external clients by mail or by phone, for maintenance or for writing specifications. In addition I got to discover Station F where I met a lot of other entrepreneur and my next company.
